Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. Let me give a try to see what kind of image you have about me through my self-description. I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. Here it goes.
I was born in a Rural home in Keiyo South, Kenya. I grew up with my uncles and grandparents around, My mother was and is still present in my life, and she greatly influenced me as I grew up as well. I got my nickname “Batson” in primary school which is a combination of my grandfather’s surname Batote and the word “son”. Son of Batote – Batson.
My Grandparents (The late Stanley Kiptoo Batoto and Albina Batote)
Yea that is 6 year old me
I studied in a rural primary school and later joined AIC Chebisaas High school where i started developing the programming career. We were the only 10 students taking computer classes because nobody really value it. Most students choose business and agriculture because they needed something practical and applicable in their daily lives.
I joined Moi University in April 2012, where i studied Bachelor of science (Informatics). After graduating from the University, i worked with many local companies – Envisage Limited, Virtual Global, Medicross – Until May 2017 when i got a life changing opportunity in Doctors without Borders organisation – Displacement unit to work as an eHealth Technologist. I moved to Barcelona in September 2018 to work for the same organisation but different role – Learning Technician. I am currently Based in Barcelona Spain.
